How it works

Buying and selling around campus should be easier.

UDrop connects students who have things they no longer need with students nearby who need them next. Payment, pickup and reputation are built in, so the hand-off is simple.

Buying

Find it nearby. Pay with protection. Pick it up.

  1. 01

    Pick your campus

Start with the marketplace around your school.

  2. 02

    Find what you need

Browse categories or search. Save what you like.

  3. 03

Buy now or make an offer

Pay through UDrop when the price is agreed. UDrop holds it.

  4. 04

    Confirm the pickup

Check the item, show your code. That releases the payment.

Selling

Snap it. Price it. Drop it.

  1. 01

    List it

Photos in. UDrop drafts the listing and SmartPrice suggests three prices.

  2. 02

    Choose how you sell

Manage offers yourself or turn on Smart Sell with a private minimum.

  3. 03

    Agree on a price

The buyer pays through UDrop before you meet.

  4. 04

    Make the drop

Enter the buyer’s pickup code and your payout is on its way.

On campus

Move-out meets move-in.

  • Bedding and pillows on a dorm bed

    Done with it

List it in a couple of minutes before you leave.

  • Students carrying a plant and a rug across campus

    Hand it off nearby

Meet up on or near campus. No boxes, no shipping.

  • Headphones and a game controller

    Needed next

Someone a few buildings over just saved on it.

Payment and pickup

The hand-off is the moment money moves.

Buyers pay through UDrop. UDrop holds the payment until the buyer confirms pickup with a one-time code. Sellers get paid right after; buyers who cancel before pickup get a full refund.

Reputation

Verified students, rated after every sale.

Students verify with their campus email or a photo of their student ID. Buyers and sellers rate each other once a pickup completes, so trust is built on real transactions.

Is UDrop an app?
It’s a web app at app.udrop.co. Nothing to download; add it to your home screen and it works like an app.
Which campuses are live?
UDrop launches campus by campus, starting in Texas. The Campuses page shows what’s live, what’s in early access and what’s next.
How much does it cost?
Browsing and listing are free. A small service fee comes out only when an item sells, shown before you publish.
What if something goes wrong?
